Biography of Dr. Dewett
Welcome! I’m glad you stopped by and I genuinely hope I have the chance to meet you. Ready? This is me in one minute or less:
For quite some time now I’ve been focused on speaking, training, writing, consulting, and teaching. Lately I have been focusing more and more on speaking engagements and seminars – I love the energy of being with groups. My expertise is understanding people in organizations and inspiring leaders to new levels of success. The credentials: I’m a tenured Management professor with degrees in business from the University of Memphis (bachelors), the University of Tennessee (MBA), and Texas A&M University (Ph.D. in Management). Along the way I picked up numerous scholarships, fellowships, teaching awards, and research awards. I’ve lived in nine different cities, consulted or taught in over fifty cities in several countries. I’ve worked for Fortune 500 firms and startups, product companies and service companies, private companies and government agencies, in maquiladoras and executive suites. Before going it alone I was fortunate to enjoy stints at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) as well as Ernst & Young. Since making the change I’ve settled in Dayton, Ohio where I continue my quest to change the world one cubicle at a time!
Bottom line: I’m loud, I look funny, and I know how to motivate. Someone once said I was Fuel for Leaders and it stuck. If you need a new perspective and a dose of high energy, give me a call. Thanks for stopping by.
